Leah Kamm gives private piano instruction out of her Batavia, Illinois home for beginning and intermediate students. A lifelong musician and Chicago area native, Leah received a Bachelor of Music Education in 1999 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Music Education in 2002 from Vandercook College of Music in Chicago. Her major instruments are voice and piano with secondary instruments being cello and guitar.
She has two Illinois State teacher certifications, one for teaching music in K-12 classrooms and one for K-9 elementary classroom teaching. Leah is also a National Board Certified teacher for early/middle childhood music (www.nbpts.org). She has been teaching general music in the public schools since 1999. She spent seven years working in Indian Prairie School District #204 and currently works as an elementary general music teacher in Geneva School District #304. In addition to her classroom teaching she has been giving private instruction for 8 years.
